What is Wedge?

  • Wedge is a payment solution that allows you to pay at participating stores with funds directly from your existing bank accounts while continuing to earn your loyalty points.

  • When you download the Wedge app you can link the bank account to which your debit card is connected. Then the funds in that account will be accessible through the Wedge platform. This will allow you pay with your phone through the Wedge App through a simple tap to pay at participating stores.

  • Wedge is not a bank. We are a fintech who partner with banks to bring you innovative product such as our Smart Card which is coming soon.

  • There are no fees for a consumer unless the store chooses to push the costs of Wedge back onto its customers.

  • Wedge's payment service simply facilitates the transfer of money from your existing account to the merchant and so all the protections offered by your existing bank account remain in place and are unaffected.

Getting Started with Wedge

  • You must be over 18 and live in the U.S.

  • Yes. Wedge is available on both iOS and Android platforms.

  • We link your accounts using Plaid. The process takes less than a minute unless you have previously used Plaid in which case its even faster.

  • A user can link mulitple checking accounts and can pay from multiple sources including loyalty points and any number of linked account. Currently, credit cards are not supported.

  • Wedge will never sell your data and only shares personal information when essential to providing you our service. We rigorously vet each service provider to ensure they are compliant with data protection laws and to ensure that they will not use your data for any other than the intended purpose.

Account Maintenance

  • Please contact support@wedge.us and we can assist in resolving the issue.

  • Wedge has the same security measures as your bank. The application is only accessed using facial recognition. Your account is secure even if someone else recovers your phone.

  • Wedge does not support funds reimbursement. Returns and refunds should be handled by the dispensary. Refunds are made in cash or store credit depending on the dispensary's policy.

  • Yes, all your transaction information will be visible in the Wedge App.

  • By navigating to 'Settings' > 'Funding Sources" in the Wedge app, users can update their payment information.

  • We currently do not support online payments, however watch this space for updates.

  • Please contact support@wedge.us and we can assist in resolving the issue.

Store Owners

  • We can be live in your stores within two weeks.

  • Wedge is free for consumers. The retailers have to pay a transaction fee.

  • Wedge will come on site and work with your team to ensure they are 100% comfortable with our solution before offering it to your clients.

The Wedge Smart Card

  • The Wedge Smart Card is being launched in Q4 2024. You can join the waitlist to be one of the first to get this exclusive card.

  • The Wedge Smart card allows you to withdraw cash and spend as you would normally on a debit card, but it also increases your credit score and provides you with cash back.

  • You can use your Wedge Card anytime anywhere. You can also use the balance on your Wedge Card to pay at dispensaries through the Wedge App

Rewards

  • You will be rewarded $20 cash back on the first Wedge transaction that totals over $60. The $20 remains available until you meet the single transaction threshold of $60.

  • Yes, you earn loyalty points as normal. Points are earned on your pre-tax total, less any discounts, rewards, or credits.

  • Cash back reward is available to utilize after any associated transactions that earned cash back have been settled, which is within three days of the purchase.

  • Cash back in the Wedge app will be valid for one (1) year from the date of accrual after which point the cash back will expire.

  • Yes.

  • There is minimum purchase of $60 to receive the introductory offer of $20. This offer will remain available until your make a purchase over $60.

  • Simply open the Wedge app to view your cash balance, Cannabis Club Points, and Story Cash Back.

  • No.

  • Not at this time.

  • If you return an item you will receive Story credit for that item and your Wedge account will retain any rewards already earnt.

  • Only the merchandise price. Cash back will not be earned on tax or any portion of the purchase that was discounted through any means.

  • Yes, cash back can be used just like cash for transactions and applied in $0.01 increments.

  • No

  • It will still be redeemable in participating stores. In the event Story elect to no longer use Wedge it can decide to convert the cash back into store credit or loyalty points at their disrcretion.

  • Cash back can only be used for in-store credit at Story - Tolleson and cannot be converted to cash.
